(Playing with Sadie in Winchester) Today was Davis's 1st birthday. It is hard to believe one year has passed since our little boy was born.
Although Davis did not get any cake today on his official birthday he thoroughly enjoyed his first experiences with a cupcake and cake.... Yep he has had both because he had TWO birthday parties over the last two weekends. We headed to Winchester on September 19th and were able to celebrate his upcoming birthday with family. Gran Newlin purchased yummy cupcakes for Davis and the kids. Let's just say that he was initially crying and then after I smeared icing on his lips and he tasted it he quickly shoved the entire cupcake into his mouth. (Yes we have this on video. )

Davis unwrapped his gifts with some help from mommy and his cousins. He is excited in this picture and seemed to be getting warmed up.
Little People truck....Then the following weekend on September 26th we decided to celebrate his birthday with our church friends here in Durham.
