Memorial Day Weekend at the Bay

We headed to the Bay this weekend to enjoy time with Aunt Stacey, Uncle Mark, and Cody. The weather was gorgeous, the water was warm, the crabs and oysters were abundant, and the fishing STUNK!

Hannah taking a break

Davis and Stacey played in the water on Saturday- they caught a minno and several snails. Unfortunately between Davis splashing and kicking the water and Hannah following closely behind it was near impossible to catch minnos.

Davis's snail

Time to build a monster truck castle garage... at least I think that is what Davis called it.

Time to head out on the boat... our short fishing trip.  Uncle Mark was teaching Davis how to catch fish.  Cody caught a couple crabs but we didn't have any more bites.

Time to Kayak
Davis was thrilled to be riding along. Can't you tell from his grin?

Chris heading out too.

Watch out Stacey, about to get hit in the head.

The Paddle Board- the initial run

Davis was also thrilled about the paddle board and riding along

The paddle board reminded me of Huckleberry Finn.

Daddy trying this out

I didn't get on the paddle board except to take pictures. It would have been funny to see me try to stand.  I should have tried the kayak but was busy watching everyone and taking pics. It was a beautiful afternoon.

Surfing

We are thinking of sending this in the paddle board company to see if they want to replace the picture on the wrapper....

 36 weeks pregnant

Stacey, Davis and Mark brought the 4 crab pots in via kayak. As Mark said this is how the Eskimo's did it.

CRABS! No we did not grill them this was just the holding spot to eat them.

Davis LOVES the Bay!!! Here he is smiling from ear to ear after two fun filled days.  He is Uncle Mark and Cody's shadow, watching their every move, helping them with odd jobs, and enjoying all the water activities.   Just 10 minutes later he is in the car and fell asleep in less than 5 minutes.
